The short version
We collect only what we need. We use it only for what you'd expect. We don't sell it. Ever.
What we collect
When you submit a URL for scanning:
- The URL itself
- Your IP address (for rate limiting and abuse prevention)
- The date and time of the scan
When you provide your email:
- Your email address, used to deliver your report
- Nothing else
When you answer optional intake questions:
- Your answers, stored against your scan
- If you write in Hindi or Gujarati — your exact words, stored as you wrote them
- We use this to make your report more relevant to you
When you pay:
- Razorpay processes your payment — we never see or store your card details
- We store: payment reference ID, amount, date, and whether payment succeeded
When you use our enterprise or institution path:
- Your work email address
- The OTP we sent (stored as a cryptographic hash — we cannot read it)
- Whether verification was successful
What we do not collect
- We do not store the full HTML content of any website we scan
- We do not store your browsing history
- We do not use tracking cookies for advertising
- We do not build profiles of you across visits
- We do not collect your name unless you volunteer it
How we use what we collect

We do not use your data for advertising. fixmysite.in does not show ads.
Who we share data with
Twilio — we send phone numbers found on your website to Twilio's Lookup API to verify if they're active. Twilio does not receive your personal information — only the phone numbers extracted from your website.
Resend — we use Resend to deliver your report by email. Resend receives your email address for this purpose.
Razorpay — processes your payment. Governed by Razorpay's privacy policy.
Anthropic (Claude AI) — we send your scan results and optional intake answers to Claude to generate plain-language findings. We do not send your email address or payment information to Anthropic.
Your chosen developer — if you click "Send to Developer," we email your report to the email address you provide. After that, it's between you and them.
No one else. We do not sell data. We do not share data with advertisers. We do not have advertising partners.
How long we keep your data

Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what data we hold about you
- Delete your scan data and email address
- Correct any information that is wrong
Email hello@fixmysite.in with your request. We will respond within 7 days.
Cookies
We use minimal cookies:
- Session cookie: keeps you logged in if you have an admin account
- PostHog analytics: anonymous usage data (which pages are visited, which features are used). No personal information. You can opt out via your browser's Do Not Track setting.
We do not use advertising cookies. We do not use third-party tracking pixels.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data:
- All data transmitted over HTTPS
- Database access restricted to our application servers
- Payment processing handled entirely by Razorpay (PCI compliant)
- OTPs stored as cryptographic hashes — never readable
- Scan reports delivered via signed URLs that expire after 1 hour
No system is perfectly secure. If you discover a security issue, please email hello@fixmysite.in.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. For major changes that affect how we use your personal data, we will send an email notice to users who have provided their email address.
